Work Detail
Research And Development Services And Related Consultancy Services – Brief Contact Intervention (Bci) Projekt. The Department Of Learning, Informatics, Management And Ethics (Lime) Conducts Research And Education That Promotes The Practical Implementation Of Research Findings And New Knowledge In Public Health Work, Care And Social Care. The Department Has Two University-Wide Areas Of Activity – Educational Development And Support Activities As Well As Research, Education And Consultancy In The Field Of Health Care And Research Ethics. It Is An Exciting Work Environment Where Research And Education Are In Focus. The Bci Service Is Part Of A Research Project Conducted By The National Center For Suicide Research And Mental Illness Prevention (Nasp). Nasp Assists The Government And Region Stockholms Decision-Makers And Residents With Knowledge Base, Knowledge Development And Knowledge Dissemination. Our Mission Is To Contribute To Reducing The Number Of Suicides And Suicide Attempts Regionally And Nationally Through Research, Strategic Public Health Work, Education And Information Dissemination. Nasp Also Contributes To Developing And Stimulating The Knowledge Area Of Suicide And Suicide Prevention, Where Evaluation Of Various Interventions Forms An Important Part. Nasp Is Looking For A Provider, With Experience In Communicating With Suicidal People, To Perform A Brief Contact Intervention (Bci) - A Proven Model That In International Studies Has Been Shown To Be Able To Reduce Suicidal Behavior In Suicidal People. Bci Refers Here To Supportive Phone Calls To A Person Who Has Suicidal Thoughts. Brief Contact Interventions (Bcis) Are Interventions In Which People With An Increased Risk Of Suicide Are Followed Up On A Regular And Systematic Basis Via Telephone, Letter, Sms Or The Like. Bci Interventions Are Primarily Used As A Way To Convey Human Support And Consideration, As Well As To Encourage Seeking Help When Needed Or Adherence To Treatment If Such Is Ongoing. Bci Interventions Are Thus Not A Therapeutic Treatment, And An Advantage Is That The Intervention Thus Does Not Need To Be Performed By Medical Personnel. Another Advantage Is That The Regular Contacts With The People Are Short, Which Enables Follow-Ups Of A Wide Population. This Makes Bcis A Cost-Effective Intervention That Can Be Offered To Many People And Risk Groups. In Several Scientific Studies That Have Evaluated Bci Interventions, Positive Effects Have Been Found In The Form Of Fewer Suicide Attempts And Suicides (For Systematic Reviews See: Zalsman Et Al., 2016; Mann Et Al. 2022). The Procured Supplier Must Develop A System That Can Receive Participants With An Increased Risk Of Suicide. The System Must Enable Processes To Regularly Follow Up These People Through Structured Telephone Contacts According To Our Guidelines, Which Aim To Convey Human Support. At Each Contact, The Caller Must Be Able To Take Notes That Are To Be Used As A Basis For The Next Call. All Parts Of The System Must Be Developed With The Security Features Required To Be Able To Handle Sensitive Personal Data In Accordance With The Data Protection Regulation. For This Purpose, See B
