Bids Are Invited For Specialized Transit Service Provider

The City Of Chestermere Is A Growing Municipality Located Immediately East Of Calgary, Alberta, With A Population That Has Grown Rapidly In Recent Years. The City Currently Provides Specialized Transit Through An Arrangement With Rocky View Regional Handi-Bus. Through This Rfp, The City Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified Organizations To Provide And Manage Specialized Transit Services On Behalf Of The City. The Successful Proponent Will Be Responsible For The Delivery Of Accessible Transportation Services To Eligible Residents Who Are Unable To Use Conventional Transit Due To A Disability, Medical Condition, Or Mobility Limitation. The Deliverables Will Include, Without Limitation, Onboarding City-Approved Registrants Into The Contractors Booking And Dispatch System; Trip Booking And Dispatch; Operation Of Accessible Vehicles; Customer Service; Reporting; Fare Collection; And Program Administration. The Services Are Anticipated To Include Local Trips Within Chestermere And A Limited Number Of Medical Trips To Calgary, Supported By A Transparent Cost-Sharing Model Between The City And Riders.The City Encourages Proponents Who Can Satisfy The Majority Of The Requirements Outlined In This Rfp, But Not Necessarily All Requirements, To Submit A Proposal For Consideration. Proponents Should Clearly Identify Any Exceptions, Limitations, Or Alternative Approaches Within Their Submission.
