Buildings Of Particular Historical Or Architectural Interest – Rehabilitation Works Of The Ceuta Supply Warehouse As A General Archive And Military Museum. The Almacén De Abastos Is Part Of The Historic Complex Of Fortifications Of La Almina, Declared Bic In The Monument Category. It Constitutes One Of The Remaining Remains Of The Almina Fortification And Its Function Was To Serve As Storage And Logistics For The Entire Enclave. The Supply Warehouse Is Located At The Eastern End Of The Northern Sector Of The Almina Complex. The Walled Line Of This Front Would Run Just North Of This Construction, With The Abastos Battery Located At Its Height. The Purpose Of The Project Consists Of The Rehabilitation And Adaptation Of The Historic Warehouse Of Supplies Of Ceuta To Incorporate Two New Cultural Facilities: The Military Museum On The Ground Floor And The General Archive Of The City On The First Floor. The Intervention Seeks To Preserve And Enhance The Existing Architecture, While Guaranteeing The Functional And Environmental Needs Of Both Uses. On The Ground Floor, The Military Museum Is Organized Into Public And Work Areas. Also Included Are Reception, Rest And Service Areas, And Internal Spaces For Storage Of Parts And Administrative Management. On The First Floor, The General Archive Is Divided Into Public Area, Warehouses And Work Area. The Deposits Must House A Very Large Volume Of Documents With Tours That Can Be Visited. The Work Area Includes Spaces For Receiving And Cleaning Documents, Cataloguing, Conservation And Reprography, Along With Customer Service Stations And Offices. The Project Thus Provides New Cultural Life To The Building, Combining Contemporary Functionality, Heritage Preservation And Public Service. The Total Scope Of Intervention Includes 3,079 M2 Built.
