Short Version Of The Possible Three Variants: Variant 1: Franking In The Printing Process: The Franking Takes Place During Printing According To The Letter Service Providers Specifications, Either Using Computer Franking (Dpag) Or Based On Postage-Optimized Data Provided (Including Upoc). The Shipping Service Provider Is Liable For Sorting And Postage Benefits, The Printing Service Provider Is Only Liable For Verifiable Operating Errors. Variant 2: Code-Based Franking: The Shipping Service Provider Provides Software And Franking Codes (E.G. Upoc). The Printing Service Provider Prints The Codes, Transmits The Associated Shipment Data And Ensures That The Codes Are Used Once. The Shipping Service Provider Is Liable For Sorting And Postage Benefits, The Printing Service Provider Is Only Liable For Verifiable Operating Errors.
