Request For Proposalsthe City Of Surrey (The “City”) Surrey Is Seeking The Services Of A Consultant Team To Develop A Plan Guiding The Review And Development Of Programs And Initiatives To Engage, Educate And Involve The Community In Stewardship Of Surrey’S Urban Forest. The Plan Should Cover A 10-Year Timeframe, With A 5-Year Review.Scope Of Services• Identify Objectives Based On Goals Identified In Our Urban Forest Management Strategy• Review And Evaluate Current Program Delivery (Including Communications, Interpretive Signage, School And Public Programming, Volunteer Programs, Tree Planting Sponsor-Ship And More) Against Defined Objectives. Identify Strengths, Gaps, Opportunities And Recommendations For Improvement.• Undertake Precedent Review Of Similar Plans And Programming From Other Communities To Identify Best Practices And Innovative Strategies.• Undertake An Equity Analysis Using American Forests Tree Equity Score Methodology (Or Similar) To Help Guide Priorities In The Plan’S Development By Identifying Gaps, And To Ensure Our Program Delivery Addresses The Needs Of Our Community.• Develop And Implement A Consultation Strategy To Engage And Seek Input From The Community And Stakeholders Including Current Volunteers And Program Participants, Local Environmental Organizations, First Nations, Businesses, Teachers And Youth.
