BWA operates across four governorates in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. It is one of the leading organizations in the field of womens rights, with a mission to reduce violence against women and girls by providing comprehensive support services for survivors and advocating for the implementation of appropriate laws and governmental policies. The Association also works to enhance womens political participation by fostering leadership, knowledge, and capacity building. BWA continues to pursue its vision by promoting womens rights and empowering their roles within society.
