The Vdi Is A Central Component Of The Work Processes In The Public Areas Of The University Library And The Zim And Forms An Essential Basis For Student Work And Teaching At The Electronic Workplace. The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Gives Users Access To The Centrally Provided Software Environment Of The University Of Duisburg-Essen, Regardless Of The Hardware Used. Licenses Are Being Procured For Omnissa Horizon 8 Enterprise With Vvf For Vdi, Term Edition, For A Total Of 600 Concurrent Users, Corresponding To 60 Packages Of 10 Concurrent Users Each, With A Term Of Twelve Months. The Previous Purchase Of The Licenses Was Ensured Through A Framework Agreement, But This Has Already Expired. To Ensure The Continued Operation Of The Existing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Renewed Procurement Is Therefore Necessary.
