It shall meet, as a minimum, the following requirements: Capacity: Accommodate at least 8 × 20 mm AND 12 × 13 mm diameter digestion vials simultaneously. Temperature range: Programmable temperature range suitable for standard digestion procedures, with a minimum operating range of approximately 20160 °C. Temperature control: Microprocessor-controlled digital temperature regulation with a clearly visible digital display. Temperature accuracy: Temperature control accuracy of ±2 °C or better. Heating: Integrated dry-block heating system providing uniform heating across all vial positions. Vial compatibility: Suitable for 13 mm and 20 mm diameter digestion vials used for spectrophotometric water-quality analyses. Method compatibility: Shall be compatible with TNT rapid test kits, including the digestion temperatures and heating times specified by the relevant test methods. Operation: Stand-alone operation with an integrated control panel and display; no external computer shall be required for normal operation. Safety: Incorporate over-temperature protection and suitable thermal insulation to minimise the risk of burns during operation. Construction: Robust laboratory-grade construction suitable for routine use in a water-quality laboratory and resistant to normal exposure to laboratory chemicals and reagents.
