Work Detail
The Main Objective Of This Public Proposal Is To Contract The Service Of Orthopedic Oncology Surgical Interventions, With The Purpose Of Providing A Timely Response To Patients Who Are Beneficiaries Of The Public Health System Who Are On The Surgical Waiting List And Who Present Clinical Priorities, Whose Resolution Has Not Been Possible To Carry Out In A Timely Manner Due To The Limited Availability Of Surgical Pavilions During The Institutional Hours Designated For These Services, Since, In The Available Institutional Hours, The Resolution Of Patients With More Complex Pathologies, Those With Explicit Health Guarantees, Must Be Prioritized. Ges And Surgical Emergencies That Require Immediate Attention; Which Is Insufficient To Absorb The Existing Demand For Patients In This Specialty. This Limitation Also Responds To Various Structural And Operational Factors That Restrict The Establishments Resolution Capacity. Among Them, The High Healthcare Demand Faced By The Hospital Stands Out, Derived From Both Scheduled Elective Surgeries And The Permanent Admission Of Patients Requiring Emergency Surgeries, A Situation That Has Generated Sustained Use Of The Institutional Pavilions Close To Their Maximum Capacity. In This Sense, The Service Aims To Provide A Timely Surgical Resolution To Patients With Suspected Or Confirmed Diagnosis Of Oncological Pathologies Of The Musculoskeletal System, Allowing Early Treatment Of Those Conditions That Require Surgical Treatment And That, Due To Their Nature, Can Present A Progressive Evolution And Significantly Compromise The Functionality And Quality Of Life Of The Patients. Timely Care For Orthopedic Oncological Pathologies Is Essential Both For The Proper Management Of The Disease And For Preserving The Function And Quality Of Life Of Patients. Delay In Diagnosis And Treatment Can Favor The Progression Of The Disease, Increase The Compromise Of Bone Structures And Surrounding Tissues And Generate Complications That Can Subsequently Hinder Treatment And Recovery. In Patients With Musculoskeletal Tumors, Lack Of Timely Surgical Resolution May Be Associated With Persistent Pain, Progressive Deterioration Of Limb Function, Bone Weakening, And Increased Risk Of Pathological Fractures. These Complications May Subsequently Require More Complex And Invasive Procedures, Increasing The Risk Of Postoperative Complications And Prolonging Recovery Times. Likewise, In Cases Of Malignant Pathologies, The Progression Of The Disease Can Lead To Compromise Of Other Structures And Increase The Risk Of Tumor Dissemination, Negatively Affecting The Patients Prognosis And Therapeutic Possibilities. Not Having This Service Would Contribute To The Increase And Prolongation Of Surgical Waiting Lists, Making It Difficult To Fulfill The Commitments Associated With The Care Of Oncological Pathologies And Delaying Patients Access To Specialized And Timely Treatment. Furthermore, It Could Favor The Appearance Of Complications Derived From The Progression Of The Disease, With An Impact On The Functionality, Quality Of Life And Prognosis Of Patients. Therefore, This Service Will Increase The Resolution Capacity Of The Establishment, Optimize The Use Of The Surgical Pavilions Available Outside Institutional Hours, Reduce Waiting Times And Provide Continuity And Opportunity In The Care Of Patients With Orthopedic Oncological Pathologies. In This Way, It Seeks To Contribute To Safe, Timely And Quality Care For The Beneficiaries Of The Public Health System, Favoring The Resolution Of Pathologies And Reducing The Risks Associated With Delays In Their Treatment. With This, Through This Public Proposal We Seek To Provide A Continuous, Timely And Effective Response To Users Who Require This Type Of Interventions, The Purpose Of Which Is To Provide Protection To The Public Health Of Users, And Contribute To The Reduction Of The Waiting List, Avoiding The Deterioration Of The Aforementioned Pathologies And Promoting Adequate Functional Recovery. Consequently, It Is Necessary To Complement The Resolution Capacity Of The Establishment By Contracting These Services. The Service Will Be Provided In The Establishments Premises, Outside Of Institutional Hours, And To Beneficiaries Of The Public Health System, In The Best Possible Conditions For Both Parties, As Detailed In The Administrative And Technical Bases, And In Annex No. 1.
