Project: Tender22017 - Wagita Concrete Dam Rehabilitation . The Wagita Bay Concrete Dam Is A Gravity Dam Located At The North End Of Steep Rock Lake (West Arm) Along A Bedrock Ridge. The Dam Separates The Nearby Seine River Diversion Channel From Steep Rock Lake And Is Hereinafter Referred To As The “Wagita Bay Dam” Or The “Dam.” The Wagita Bay Dam Is Located Approximately 10 Km Northwest Of The Town Of Atikokan Within The Ministry Of Natural Resources (Mnr) Atikokan-Dryden-Fort Frances District, Ontario, At Utm Coordinates 15U, N5408889, E0597601. The Wagita Bay Dam Is Accessible Via The Rifle Lake Access Road From Highway 622. The Mnr Maintains The Access Road During The Spring, Summer, And Fall; However, The Road Is Not Plowed Or Maintained During The Winter Months. Scope Of Work The Work Shall Include, But Is Not Limited To, The Following: • Design And Install Temporary Cofferdams; • Design And Install A Dewatering And Flow Diversion System; • Complete Partial-Depth Concrete Demolition And Concrete Repairs; • Demolish And Remove A Portion Of The Existing Concrete Dam Down To Bedrock; • Complete Foundation Grouting; • Construct A New Concrete Gravity Dam Section; And • Supply And Install Post-Tensioned Anchors.
