The City Engaged Mcelhanney Ltd. To Complete An Investigation To Provide Remediation Solutions For The Stabilization And Rehabilitation Of The Section Of Roadway. The Outcome Of The Investigation Was To Provide Civil Layout Drawings And Specifications To Complete The Construction Works Required. Justification Of Direct Award Due To Significant Pavement Distress And Deterioration Of The Roadway Surface, And The Increased Risk Associated With The Impending Rainy Season, Immediate Stabilization And Rehabilitation Work Is Required. Any Delay In Undertaking The Work May Result In Accelerated Deterioration, Roadway Failure, And Potential Closure Of The Road. As This Roadway Serves Residents And Commuter Traffic, A Failure Of The Roadway Would Present A Significant Risk To Public Safety And Could Disrupt Access For Emergency Services, Residents, And Businesses. Accordingly, Timely Completion Of The Work Is Necessary To Mitigate Safety Risks And Maintain Critical Transportation Infrastructure.
