In addition, the existing dual two-lane Isa Town Gate Interchange underpass will be widened to provide a dual three-lane carriageway. The project also includes upgrading the existing conventional at-grade, signal-controlled junction at the Isa Town Gate Interchange to a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) configuration. This improvement is intended to enhance junction capacity, improve traffic operations, and reduce delays and congestion at the interchange.
