Expression of Interest for IFRC Archives Recovery Plan Emergency Response Measures Service Requirements: The IFRC intends to purchase the below services from a service provider however, the services will be required/purchased only in the event of a fire or flood in the IFRC Secretariat building in Geneva, Switzerland. · Freezing and storing wet documents The IFRC requires a freezer company to freeze a quantity of wet paper documents, so that the documents are stabilized while waiting to be freeze dried. The wet documents may also be partially burnt, and may be soiled with diesel fuel and/or sewage. Some wet documents will be in ring binders, and some wet documents will be in cardboard file folders. · Transporting frozen documents (optional) The IFRC requires a transport company to ship pallets of frozen documents in freezer trucks from a freezer storage company located in the Geneva area to a vacuum freeze drying company located in Switzerland. The frozen documents may be partially burnt, and may be soiled with diesel fuel and/or sewage. · Document recovery of frozen, soiled, and lightly burnt documents The IFRC requires a document company to freeze dry and clean a quantity of frozen paper documents, so that the documents are dry and can be safely returned to archive storage at the IFRC. The frozen documents may also be partially burnt, and may be soiled with diesel fuel and/or sewage. Some frozen documents will be in ring binders, and some frozen documents will be in cardboard file folders. · Confidential destruction of documents damaged beyond recovery (wet/soiled/burnt) The IFRC requires a disposal company to confidentially destroy a quantity of damaged paper documents. The damaged documents may be wet, partially burnt, and soiled with diesel fuel and/or sewage. Some damaged documents will be in ring binders, and some damaged documents will be in cardboard file folders.
