The Cn.As Fiber Optic Cable Infrastructure, Built In The Early 2000S, Will Reach The End Of Its Technical Lifespan In The Next Few Years And Will Need To Be Replaced. In Recent Years, Cable Jackets Have Been Found To Have Burst, Allowing Moisture To Penetrate Into The Cables. Asfinag Plans To Replace The Existing 96-Fiber Asf-1 Backbone Cables With New Cables (E.G. 144-Fiber Asf-4 Cables). The Asf-4 Cable Is Intended To Be Used For Asfginag Data Transmission (Backbone) And, If Necessary, For Rental To Third-Party Customers.
