Vancouver Coastal Health (Vch) Invites Expressions Of Interest From Qualified Contractors Interested In Participating In Future Competitive Procurement Opportunities Associated With The Totem Lodge Redevelopment Project. This Request For Expressions Of Interest (Rfei) Is Intended To Identify Contractors With The Interest, Qualifications, And Capacity To Participate In One Or More Future Trade Package Procurements. The Totem Lodge Redevelopment Project Involves The Renovation Of The Existing Single-Storey Totem Lodge Long-Term Care Facility. The Existing Long-Term Care Space Has Been Vacated And Interior Finishes Removed. A Separate Contract Has Completed The Reroofing And Partial Seismic Upgrade Work. The Project Will Restore And Renovate The Facility To Support Approximately 35 Patients Who No Longer Require Acute Care Services While Largely Maintaining The Existing Layout. The Main Occupants Of The Building Will Be Discharged Patients, Who Need Temporary Care And Monitoring By Medical Staff, While They Await Permanent Relocation To A Long Term Care Facility Or Return Home. Although It Is Attached To Sechelt Hospital, Totem Residents Will Not Require Acute Care. Key Project Features Include: • Approximately 1,606 M² Of Building Area; • Interior Renovations And Reinstatement Of Finishes; • Partial Room And Space Reconfiguration; • Minor Exterior Building And Roof Modifications; And • Associated Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, And Life-Safety Upgrades.
