Tenders Are Invited For Level Action Plans For The Un Decade Of Sustainable Transport

Request for proposals for Level Action Plans for the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport Fixed Price contract for the creation of a white paper on country-level action planning and implementation of the United Nations Decade of Sustainable Transport. The paper will tentatively include an overview and lessons of other UN Decades, linkages to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) alignment, and the role of UN bodies, and modular guidance covering baseline assessment, target-setting and tracking, and other key items. TIMING This assignment is scheduled to commence in October 2026 to 1 March 2027. WRI reserves the right to amend and/or change the schedule of RFP activities as it deems necessary. BUDGET The maximum available budget for this assignment is USD 25,000. An estimate of the number of days required to carry out the activities is to be provided by the vendors in their proposal and must be reflected in the estimate. However, once the budget has been validated, the payment of the service will be conditional on the delivery of the deliverables and not on the number of days actually worked. All expenses (equipment, vehicles, materials, supplies, consumables, means of communication, insurance, travel expenses, etc.) necessary for the performance of the service, including travel expenses, mission expenses, etc., are the sole responsibility of the vendor and must be quantified in the budget proposal.] Please note that WRI is a United States IRS-registered 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization. GUIDELINES FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION Requirements The selected vendor will be able to demonstrate capacity in similar work, particularly: At least 10 years experience on the international level working on sustainable transport, including experience with processes and policies on sustainable transport with the United Nations, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the UN regional economic commissions, and international financial institutions such as the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. Experience with overseas development assistance (ODA) regarding sustainable transport. Knowledge of and experience with low and middle-income countries on advancing sustainable transport policies and practices, particularly in Asia and Africa. Understanding of key aspects of sustainable transport systems, including transport accessibility, road safety, gender and mobility, and climate change.
