Herefordshire Council Is Seeking Information From Suitably Qualified Providers To Help Inform Future Options For The Provision Of Specialist Emergency Planning And Resilience Support. The Council Maintains An In-House Emergency Planning Function Responsible For Fulfilling Its Duties Under The Civil Contingencies Act 2004, Supporting Business Continuity, Emergency Preparedness, Training And Exercising, And Coordinating The Council’S Response To Incidents And Emergencies. The Purpose Of This Market Request For Information (Rfi) Is To Understand The Range Of Services, Delivery Models And Expertise Available Within The Market That Could Complement And Strengthen Existing In-House Capability. Areas Of Interest May Include Specialist Technical Advice, Independent Challenge And Assurance, Emergency Plan Development And Review, Training And Exercising, Business Continuity Support, Incident Response Arrangements, Out-Of-Hours Resilience Cover, And Access To Experienced Tactical And Strategic Incident Management Expertise To Support Council Duty Commanders During Significant Or Prolonged Incidents. The Council Is Exploring Opportunities To Enhance Organisational Resilience, Increase Access To Specialist Expertise, And Ensure Sustainable Support Arrangements During Periods Of Increased Demand, Major Incidents Or Specialist Planning Requirements.
