In The Context Of The Construction Of The New Arsenal Connection In Mechelen, The Client Wishes To Coordinate The Traffic Management Operation Of The Margareta Tunnel And The Various Intersections In The Area In Different Operating Conditions With Each Other And With The Traffic. In Order To Do This, Microsimulations, Lighting Controls And V-Plans (With The Necessary Detection) Must Be Developed, Which Must Also Be Tested And, If Necessary, Adjusted. In Addition To The Organization Of A Normal Operational Traffic Management System, These Arrangements Should Be A Priority For Intervening In The Event Of Emergencies, With The Aim Of Clearing The Tunnels In A Safe Manner And During Emergencies To Still Maintain A Safe And Relatively Smooth Traffic Flow In The Area, So That The Emergency Services Are Minimally Affected During The Interventions. The Vri Installations Must Therefore All Operate Technically Correctly And Very Robustly, With The Necessary Fail-Safe Guarantees. The Assignment Includes The Traffic Study Up To And Including The Preparation Of The V-Plans, As Well As Monitoring And, If Necessary, Adjustment After Implementation.
