With The Help Of High-Speed Recordings Of Highly Dynamic Impact Tests In The Impact Chamber Of A Gas Cannon, Flight Speeds, Spin And Inclination Of Flying Impact Bodies, Hit Events As Well As Deformation Or Fragmentation Of The Materials Are To Be Recorded And Examined. The Focus Is Also On Determining The Residual Speed Of The Impact Body Or Its Fragments After Perforation Of The Target Material. These Processes Are Short-Term Events And Require A High Temporal Resolution With A Short Exposure Time And A Fast Image Sequence. High Light Sensitivity Is Crucial For Very Good Image Quality. For Optimal Illumination Of Ballistic Impact Tests, Very Short Illumination Times And High Luminance Levels Are Required. This Requires Xenon Flash Lamps Or Powerful Led Systems.
