Tenders are invited for Recruiting Trainers to Implement Specialized Electronic Professional Development Sessions to Develop Teachers of Community Learning Centers in the Gaza Strip. Service Location: Ramallah, Gaza Strip Introduction to the organization and the project Teach for Palestine is an independent Palestinian non-governmental organization established in February 2023. It works to enhance the quality and inclusiveness of school education in Palestinian communities by developing educational leaders, improving classroom practices, and designing innovative educational solutions that respond to the needs of children, particularly in marginalized and crisis-affected areas. The organization, with funding from the Cooperation Foundation, is implementing the project "Building the capacities of educational staff and developing learning guides and methodologies in Noor Orphan Care Program centers," which targets female teachers working in community learning centers in the Gaza Strip. Participants received intensive training in six main areas: remedial education, managing the learning environment in crises, active learning strategies, inclusive education, integrated education, and digital learning. To further this approach, the organization plans to conduct short, focused online professional development sessions that will address new topics or delve deeper into previously overlooked areas, responding to the needs and challenges arising from daily work in community learning centers. These sessions will not simply reiterate the content of the six previous modules, but rather build upon them and address specific professional gaps. Main objectives Enhancing the competencies of female teachers in specialized educational and professional subjects that are directly related to their needs in the field. Providing teachers with practical strategies and tools that can be applied in community learning centers and within the available resources. Supporting the ability of female teachers to respond to emerging educational, behavioral, psychological and social challenges. To promote reflective practice, exchange of experiences, and continuous professional learning among female teachers. Developing educational practices that contribute to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment for children. Task Implementation Mechanism The Teach Palestine Foundation intends to contract with one or more trainers, according to the specializations and needs adopted by the project team, to implement 24 online professional development sessions, with 12 sessions for each of the two groups of teachers. Number of sessions: 24 online sessions (12 sessions per group). Duration of one session: two hours. Total training hours: 48 hours (24 hours per group). Implementation platform: The electronic platform adopted by the organization. Implementation date: [To be completed later in coordination with the project team]. Sessions can be distributed among multiple trainers based on their specialization, and the organization may adjust the order or scope of topics based on field needs. Internet and electricity access for participants in the Gaza Strip is also taken into consideration when scheduling sessions. Scope of work The trainer, according to the topic or sessions assigned to him/her, shall carry out the following tasks: Coordination with the project team to review the needs and define the session objectives and target group. Prepare a detailed session plan that takes into account previous training and avoids unnecessary repetition. Designing and implementing interactive and practical online sessions based on examples and case studies from community learning centers. Adapting activities and materials to limited resources and varying quality of communication, and providing simple alternatives when simultaneous participation is not possible. Measuring the benefit to participants using simplified tools, and collecting feedback after the sessions. Submit a brief report on the sessions conducted, including the level of participation, the most prominent results, challenges, and recommendations. Adherence to the organizations child protection, non-harm, confidentiality and professional conduct policies. Target audience 80 female teachers working in community learning centers affiliated with the Noor program in the Gaza Strip, distributed across two training groups, each receiving 12 sessions with the same content. Suggested Guidance Topics The professional development sessions address topics not covered in the six previous training modules, while also responding to emerging professional needs and challenges identified by the project team in community learning centers. These topics may include, but are not limited to: Effective communication with families and guardians on educational and behavioral issues. Managing conflicts and bullying and building positive relationships among children. Child protection, safe handling of disclosure, and referral pathways. Understanding trauma and its effects on childrens learning, behavior, and social interaction. Implementing trauma-aware educational practices that promote childrens sense of security and stability. Supporting children in dealing with fear, loss, grief, emotions, and trauma-related behaviors. Using play, storytelling, arts and expressive activities to support children affected by trauma. Enhancing psychological resilience, coping skills, and hope in children. Sensitive communication with the families of children affected by trauma and identifying cases that require specialist referral. Self-care and prevention of secondary stress and burnout among female teachers. Educational leadership, initiative and decision-making within community learning centers. Educational documentation and writing stories of change while respecting privacy. Designing and leading small educational initiatives that respond to the centers challenges. These topics are guidelines and are not binding. The final topics will be adopted in coordination with the project team, based on field needs, while ensuring that the content of previous training modules is not repeated. Expected outputs 24 online professional development sessions were conducted, each lasting two hours (12 sessions per group), totaling 48 training hours. Session plans include objectives, content, time allocation, methodologies, and activities. The training materials, presentations, and practical tools in their final form. Simplified tools for measuring utilization and collecting feedback. Active participation of teachers and practical applications related to the reality of community learning centers. A concise final report including an analysis of the results and actionable recommendations.
