Expression Of Interest For Afterschool Program For Adolescent Girls In Chad Description: For Nearly A Decade, The Ministry Of National Education, Bilingualism, And Civic Promotion (Menbpc) And The Swedd Project (Followed By Swedd+) Have Been Implementing School-Based "Safe Spaces" In Chad For Girls Enrolled In Primary And Secondary Schools. These Spaces Utilize An Empowerment Curriculum Facilitated By MentorsTypically Teachers From The Participating SchoolsTo Impart Knowledge Regarding Sexual And Reproductive Health And A Structured Set Of Life Skills. The Initiative Is Managed By The Swedd+ Project Management Unit (Pmu) And Implemented In The Field By Partner Ngos, Which Oversee And Supervise The Mentors In The Provinces And Monitor The Girls Participation. The Project Receives Technical And Financial Support From The Unfpa And The World Bank, In Coordination With The Relevant Sectoral Ministries. As Part Of The Gender Innovation And Regional Learning (Girl) Initiative, The Africa Gender Innovation Lab (Hereinafter Referred To As The "Research Team") Is Conducting An Impact Evaluation To Measure The Marginal Effect Of A Supplementary Module Added To This Existing Program. This Module Will Focus On Developing The Non-Cognitive Skill ("Soft Skill") Of Goal-SettingApplied To Both Professional And Academic ContextsAnd On Academic And Career Guidance, Featuring Group-Based Support Regarding The Educational Tracks And Career Paths Actually Accessible To The Girls. Each Participant Will Be Guided To Define Her Own Professional And Academic Goals, And Subsequently To Identify The Necessary Academic Prerequisites, Potential Obstacles, And Realistic Strategies For Overcoming Them.
