Projectors – Delivery Of A 3-Sided Cave. In The Virtual Engineering Laboratory, Modern Planning And Software Tools Are Used For Factory Planning, Material Flow Simulation, Value Stream Analysis, Ergonomic Planning And Vr Representations. In The Future, The Real-Time Capability Of The Systems And The Consistent Use Of Digital Twins Will Become Even More Important - Especially In Teaching As Well As In Third-Party Funding And Research Projects. A Central Aspect Is Maintaining Data Integrity: Models, Simulation Data And Visualizations Should Be Used Directly In The Respective Engineering Workflow Without Conversion Or Lossy Transformations. This Creates Consistent, Real-Time Capable Couplings Between Planning, Simulation And Vr Representation That Are Both Scientifically Reliable And Industrially Compatible. A System With Three Professional Gpus Of The Same Performance Class Is Intended For The Vr Environment. This Architecture Enables The Simultaneous, Real-Time Calculation Of All Three Projection Surfaces Of The Cave. At The Same Time, The Use Of Three Gpus Increases Reliability, As The Operation Of The 3-Sided Cave Continues To Be Guaranteed Even If One Gpu Fails. The System Architecture Is Designed In Such A Way That A Later Expansion Stage Into A 4-Sided Cave Is Easily Possible By Integrating A Fourth Gpu Of The Same Design. This Means That The Infrastructure Remains Scalable For Future Research And Third-Party Funded Projects That Require Higher Levels Of Immersion Or Additional Interaction Surfaces. During Teaching, Students Experience Consistent, Real-Time Engineering Methods Across Virtual Product And Production Engineering. Project Work Can Be Implemented Directly With Digital Twins And Then Presented In Live Sessions At The 3-Sided Cave. The Real-Time Capability Enables Interactive Demonstrations, Collaborative Decision-Making Processes And The Direct Coupling Of Simulation And Vr Representation. In Addition, The Infrastructure Opens Up The Possibility Of Carrying Out Virtual Collaborations With Other Laboratories And Research Partners - An Important Building Block For Distributed Development Processes, Industry-Oriented Research Alliances And Future Third-Party Funding Applications. The Maximum Available Budget Excluding The Options Is 202,000.00 Euros Net. An On-Site Appointment Is Strongly Recommended In Order To Be Able To Fully Check And Clarify The Overall Situation (Room Dimensions, Ceiling Situation, Etc.). An Appointment Can Be Made Upon Request. Two Short Videos Are Attached To Help You Assess The Spatial Conditions. Video 1 Shows The General Spatial Situation In The Laboratory, Video 2 Shows The Spatial Conditions Between The Concrete Ceiling And The Suspended Ceiling.
