Quotation are invited for Provision of Legal Services to Peace Canal Scope of Services The selected firm will be expected to provide legal advice and support to Peace Canal as required. This may include: Advice on South Sudanese laws and regulations applicable to NGOs and non-profit organization; Advice on NGO registration, governance and regulatory compliance; Advice to the Board and management on organizational governance, including interpretation and amendment of the organizations constitution and other governance documents; Review and drafting of contracts, agreements, MoUs, policies and other legal documents; Advice on employment and labour law, including employment contracts, disciplinary matters, termination and other HR-related issues; Advice on procurement, commercial arrangements, leases and service agreements; Advice on taxation and other statutory or regulatory obligations where relevant; Support in correspondence or engagement with government authorities and regulatory bodies where legal input is required; Advice on disputes, complaints or potential legal liabilities; Representation of Peace Canal in legal or regulatory matters where specifically requested and agreed; and Other legal advice reasonably required in connection with Peace Canals operations. The intention is to establish an ongoing relationship with a legal firm that can provide timely, practical advice appropriate to the operating environment of a South Sudanese NGO.
