Op27dqu005 Project Is Located Approximately 48 Kms To The West Of Quesnel Along The Tibbles Lake Road. Timber Removed Should Be Merchandized. Products Will Include Sawlogs (Live Removal) And Pulp Or Biology From The Downed Dead Potential Stems. Chip And Distribute May Also Be A Means To Modify Wood Material. Please Refer To Appendix E Mastication Best Management Practices Final 2024.Remove All Dead Except Where Classified As A Wildlife Tree, And Retained Trees Need To Be Of Good Health And Form. Retain All Live Deciduous, That Are Not A Safety Concern. Pruning Will Be Conducted On All Live And Dead Conifer Stems Over 3 M In Height. Trees Will Be Pruned To A Maximum Of 50% Of Tree Height (I.E. 50% Live Crown Retained), Or 3 M From The Ground To The Lowest Branch Tip, Whichever Is Less. Trees Under 3 M Tall Do Not Require Pruning. Fine, Large And Coarse Woody Debris All Have Individual Targets To Be Met Through Reductions Of Each. Any Large Or Coarse Woody Debris (Cwd) Being Retained Must Be Limbed And Bucked Flush To The Ground. Cwd Need To Be 4 Logs Per Hectare Measuring A Minimum Of 3 M Long, 10 M Apart, Flush To The Ground With Limbs Removed. Debris Disposal.Tibbles Lake Treatment Op27dqu005 Is Comprised Of Two Confirmed Treatment Units Tu 2 & 5 And One More Subject To Funding Which Is Tu 3. It Is Also Important To Note That This Project Follows Two Different Prescriptions That Were Developed By Forsite And Cabin Forestry Consultants. Both Companies Have Prescribed Variability For This Landscape. One Important Factor For Treatment Unit 2 (Forsite Prescription) States A Partial Retention Harvest Can Occur, With Approximately Up To 25% Of Layer 1 Stems Removed But With No Openings Greater Than 1 Hectare. The Cabin Prescription (Tu 3 & 5) Calls For More Rudimentary Fuel Management Objectives With No Green Layer One Removal.Treatment Units, Area Sizes, Prescription Developer.-Treatment Unit 2 11.5 Hectares Forsite Up To 25% Removal Layer 1 No Openings Larger Than 1 Ha.-Treatment Unit 3 9.3 Hectares (Subject To Funding) Cabin Prescription-Treatment Unit 5 4.3 Hectares Cabin Prescription
