Tenders are invited for Advocacy Event Facilitator - Akkar Water Security & Agroecology Summit. Closing Date: Wednesday, 16. Sep 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Agriculture Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 1 month Mada Association, in partnership with arche nova, is implementing the GFFOfunded project Strengthening local climatesensitive and universal WASH capacities using and disseminating the Green Humanitarian Aid approach. As part of Activity 2.8, Mada will host a full day Advocacy Event in North Lebanon Tripoli to bridge the gap between policy, science and local practice on water resource management and climate-resilient agriculture. The summit will launch Projects Guidelines on Water governance and Agroecology in Akkar and convey decision-makers, experts and farmers to secure actionable commitments for water-management practices and agroecology initiatives. Main Tasks and Responsibilities The Facilitator will play a central role in ensuring the event is dynamic, inclusive, and resultsoriented. Specifically, the Facilitator will: Event Design & Flow Support Mada in preparing and finalizing the agenda and sequencing sessions to ensure coherence between speeches, testimonies, the Guidelines, panel discussion, and working groups. Ensure smooth transitions between sessions and maintain time discipline throughout the day. Provide support in identifying and assisting with the selection of experts, as well as in defining the subjects of intervention. Moderation & Facilitation Prepare a detailed script for the Panel Discussion in advance, ensuring questions and prompts are aligned with the event objectives. Facilitate and moderate the Panel Discussion, guiding dialogue between experts, policymakers, and practitioners toward actionable commitments. Facilitate the Working Group Sessions, ensuring diverse stakeholder voices are heard, and discussions remain focused on practical solutions. Lead the Closing Plenary, synthesizing outcomes and securing public declarations of commitment from authorities. Stakeholder Engagement Encourage active participation from ministries, municipalities, farmer cooperatives, and INGOs/UN agencies. Ensure inclusivity by balancing technical, institutional, and grassroots perspectives. Knowledge Capture & Reporting Document key recommendations, commitments, and next steps emerging from the panel and working groups. Provide Mada with a concise facilitation report highlighting outcomes and followup actions. Gather relevant information and research prior to the event and compile them into advocacy messages to be shared with the appropriate authorities beforehand, in addition to the event report that will be developed after the event. Coordination with Mada Team Coordinate with Mada regarding the review and approval of all event documents, invites list, experts list, and preparatory meetings. Prepare, together with Mada, the Terms of Reference for experts to be recruited for the event. Be responsive to Madas comments and feedback on all event content, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Work closely with Mada to prepare and finalize all PowerPoint presentations and event content, providing technical guidance and ensuring that materials are accurate, relevant, and impactful. Collaborate with Madas team to guarantee that the forum content is effectively delivered and achieves its intended objectives. Timeframe and Duration The mission is expected to encompass a series of preparatory and implementation steps to ensure the successful delivery of the Exchange Forum: Preparatory Meetings: Four coordination meetings will be held prior to the event to finalize the agenda, presentations, and stakeholder engagement strategy. Event Delivery: The Event will be conducted over one day, tentatively scheduled for mid-October 2026. The Event will be held in North Lebanon (Tripoli or surroundings). Reporting: Following the event, the facilitator will prepare and submit a comprehensive report capturing key discussions, lessons learned, recommendations, and proposed followup actions. Minimum Qualification and Experience Advanced degree in social sciences, agriculture, environment, water sciences, water management, or related field. At least 3 missions of experience in moderating/facilitating multistakeholder advocacy events, forums, or summits. Strong knowledge of Lebanons water and agriculture challenges, preferably with experience in Akkar. Proven ability to engage policymakers, technical experts, and community representatives in constructive dialogue. Excellent communication, organizational, and reporting skills. Demonstrated engagement with diverse stakeholders (NGOs, research/academics, governmental institutions, farmers). Technical capacity, including ability to draw on relevant research and evidence. Indepth knowledge of Akkars agricultural and climate landscape. Fluency in Arabic and English required.
