Work Detail
Tenders are invited for Development & Hosting of the National Agroecology Network Website / Platform. Closing Date: Friday, 18. Sep 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Human Rights & Protection Action Against Hunger fights against the causes and effects of hunger and disease that threaten the lives of vulnerable children, women and men. Founded in France in 1979, Action Against Hunger is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political and non-religious organization. In August 2006, Action Against Hunger launched its operations in Lebanon to support families affected by the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Our initial intervention focused on emergency water and sanitation services, food security programs, and recovery efforts aimed at restoring basic services and supporting agricultural production. Activities were concentrated in South Lebanon, particularly in Bent Jbeil, Marjaayoun, and Hasbaya, and continued until 2011. As the Syrian crisis escalated, Lebanon witnessed a significant influx of refugees, prompting Action Against Hunger to expand its response. In 2011, we launched new emergency programs to support both displaced populations and host communities, addressing urgent humanitarian needs. A new operational base was established in Zahle in April 2012. Since then, Action Against Hunger has grown considerably in terms of operational reach, budget, and staffing, becoming a key humanitarian actor in the Bekaa Valley. In response to the cross-border conflict that erupted in October 2023, Action Against Hunger further expanded its operations to support displaced families and conflict-affected communities across six of Lebanons eight governorates. This expansion included the establishment of a new base in Beirut, reinforcing our commitment to providing life-saving assistance to vulnerable populations in times of crisis.
