The South Island Forest District Is Seeking A Proponent To Write A Fuel Management Prescription For Mott Highway Interchanges Around Parksville. The Area Consists Of Two Parcels 1. Chattel Road (8.0 Ha) And 2. Alberni Highway (2.0 Ha) Interchanges. The Purpose Of This Fuel Management Prescription Is To Provide A Safe Area For Wildfire Response Through The Falling Of Dangerous Trees, Reduction Understory Ladder Fuels And Surface Fuel Mitigation. As Well, The Identification Of Invasive Species Will Provide Added Value For The Treatment Area, Generally The Fuel Type Can Be Classified As Coastal Douglas-Fir (C5).Further Details As To The Scope Of This Opportunity And The Requirements Can Be Found Within This Rfp.
