The Subject Of The Process Is The Planning Of The Traffic Systems And Open Spaces For The Redesign Of Leonhardsplatz, Including The Connecting Areas Hauptstätter Straße/B 14, Pfarrstraße And Esslinger Straße (Approx. 4,000 M²). The Aim Is To Create A High-Quality Connection Between The Stuttgart Moving Image Center (Smic), The Leonhardskirche And The Adjacent Buildings In Terms Of Design And Functionality. The Plan Includes A Pedestrian Zone Between Smic And Leonhardskirche, The Necessary Traffic Areas Around The Smic And A Surface Design That Is As Homogeneous As Possible. A Locally Appropriate Equipment, Furniture And Greenery Concept Must Be Developed While Preserving The Tree Population. The Project Must Be Planned And Structurally Implemented Quickly. The Completion Of The Public Areas Is Related To The Opening Of The Smic; The Requirements For The Construction Process Must Be Taken Into Account. In The 2Nd Stage, The Selected Applicants Have To Work On A Design Part.
