The District Of North Cowichan Intends To Directly Award The 2026-18 Chemainus Wells Groundwater Monitoring And Reporting Program To Western Water Associates Ltd. Since 2019, The Firm Has Provided Specialized Groundwater Monitoring And Reporting Services To Support The Operation And Licensing Of The Chemainus Drinking Water Wells, Including Analysis Of Long-Term Groundwater And Surface Water Data, Trend Reporting, And Coordination With Regulatory Agencies, Consultants, And Halalt First Nation. Due To The Need For Continuity, Extensive Historical Knowledge, And Integration Of Two Decades Of Monitoring Data, Western Water Associates Ltd. Is Uniquely Positioned To Continue Delivering These Services. The Proposed Contract Term Is One Year Beginning October 1, 2026, With Options To Extend For Up To Two Additional Years.
