Ballistic Shield Features and Design: a. Ballistic shield shall be durable: Utilizes specialized pressing techniques to ensure long-lasting performance in demanding envi ronments. b. Bulletproof Glass View Port: Offers clear visibility and must match the ballistic rating of main shield c. Minimum size of Viewport: 10 cm x 25cm for clear observation and target acquisition. d. Neck strap: made of Nylon with high density padding for comfort e. Handles: 1x hand and 1x arm grip -made of aluminium, polycarbonate or composite materials. With high density padding around handles for comfort. f. Impact-Resistant Edge Protection: Edges are covered with hard-wearing material to withstand intense impacts and enhance durability. 2. Material Requirement: a. Constructed from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) UD fabric, b. Bulletproof Glass: Class BR6 Glass in accordance with EN 1063 3. Bullet Resistance Performance Requirement(s): a. The ballistic shield shall provide a Protection Level FB06 and lesser threats for bullet resistance. Refer to Table 1 Windows, doors, shutters and blinds - Bullet resistance and classification of the BS EN 1522:1999 standard. EN 1522 shall be tested in accordance with EN 1523. b. Ballistic shields shall be tested against calibre 5,56 x45 FJ2/PB/SCP1 and 7,62x51 FJ1/PB/SC c. NB!
