Request for proposals for Consultancy to improve board governance and strategic leadership of NCA partners in South Sudan Consultancy on Governance and Leadership for Norwegian Church Aid Partners in the Republic of Sourth Sudan Consultancy to improve board governance and strategic leadership of NCA partners in South Sudan 5. Scope of Work The consultant shall undertake the following tasks: A. Preparatory Phase Conduct Training Needs Assessment of partners Review relevant organizational documents provided by NCA. Conduct consultations with NCA and participating partner organizations as necessary. Develop a detailed training methodology and work plan. Design and submit a comprehensive training curriculum and facilitation guide. Develop training materials, presentations, case studies, practical exercises, and participant handouts. B. Training Delivery Facilitate training covering, but not limited to, the following topics: Module 1: Governance and Board Effectiveness Principles of organizational governance Roles and responsibilities of Boards of Directors Governance structures and accountability mechanisms Board policies and compliance Risk management and oversight Module 2: Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness Strategic leadership Leadership styles and competencies Ethical leadership and accountability Organizational culture and change management Team leadership and performance management Module 3: Strategic Planning Strategic planning frameworks and approaches Organizational assessment and environmental scanning Development of vision, mission, goals, and objectives Strategic implementation and monitoring Performance measurement and reporting Module 4: Budgeting and Financial Oversight Budgeting concepts and principles Linking budgets to strategic priorities Financial planning and resource allocation Budget monitoring and control Board oversight of financial management Page 3 of 5 Module 5: Organizational Action Planning Governance self-assessment Identification of capacity gaps Development of improvement action plans C. Reporting Phase Administer pre- and post-training assessments. Facilitate workshop evaluation. Prepare and submit a comprehensive training report including findings, participant feedback, recommendations, and action points. 6. Deliverables The consultant will produce the following deliverables: 1. Inception report including methodology, work plan, and training agenda. 2. Training curriculum and facilitation materials. 3. Training presentations and participant handouts. 4. Pre- and post-training assessment tools. 5. 6.
