Prior Information Notice for Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 4.6 Mwh Battery Energy Storage System Item Indicative Requirement BESS energy capacity Approximately 4.6 MWh nominal, with respondent to state usable energy at beginning of life and end of warranted life. BESS power export 2 MW firm power export to the grid, subject to final dispatch and interconnection studies. Application Solar PV firming, energy shifting, ramp-rate control, smoothing, grid support and controlled dispatch. Existing PV plant Approximately 13 MW dc installed PV capacity with 10 MW ac peak export capability. Grid interface Integration with a 22/66 kV substation; respondent to propose connection voltage, transformer arrangement and protection philosophy. Scope preference Turnkey design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, training, documentation, warranties and optional long-term O&M. Deployment type Outdoor containerised or skid-mounted utility-scale BESS, subject to site-specific assessment.
