Airport Buildings Construction Work – Smart Screening Lanes - General Contractor. The Smart Screening Lanes (Ssl) Project Is A Strategic Initiative To Modernize The Passenger And Hand Baggage Security Screening Process At Brussels Airport Through The Implementation Of New Security Scanners, Ct/Atrs Technology And Associated Systems, In Line With Future Eu Aviation Security Requirements For Passenger And Hand Baggage Screening Equipment. To Enable The Installation Of The New Screening Lanes, The Existing Connector Building Must Be Adapted. The Contractors Work Package Includes (Not Exhaustive): • Structural Work To Support The Changed Passenger Flows, Possibly Including The Integration Of Stairs And Escalators Between The Different Floors Of The Connector; • Upgrade Of Technical Installations, Including Hvac, To Meet Indoor Climate Standards And Improve The Future-Proofing Of The Connector Building. • Update Of The Fire Safety Systems
