Work Detail
The Order Concerns The Supply Of Flight Lighting Products For The Stock Of The Ministry Of Defense. The Central Government Real Estate Agency (Rvb) Contracts Out Runway Renovations Of Airports For Defense. Rvb Normally Tenders For This Runway Renovation Per Airport. This Concerns A Works Tender, Which Includes Airport Lighting. To Meet The Need For Spare Parts For Airport Lighting, Rvb Normally Purchases 10% Additional Airport Lighting For Defense. This Is Stocked By The Defense Real Estate Service (Svd), Defenses Own Real Estate Breakdown Service, Which Can Carry Out Replacement And Maintenance Of Airport Lighting. Due To A Policy Change At Defense As A Result Of Geopolitical Tensions, Defense Wishes To Build Up A Stock Of Airport Lighting In Order To Be Able To Maintain And Replace Lighting At Airports For 90 Days. This Exceeds The 10% Of Airport Lighting Per Runway Renovation That The Rvb Normally Purchases For Defense. There Are No Existing Agreements With The Rvb Or Defense For This Additional Need. This Tender Serves To Conclude Agreement(S). Defenses Need For A Stock Of Airfield Lighting Has A Strong Connection With The Airfield Lighting That Is Already Installed At Defense Airfields In The Netherlands. After All, If Airport Lighting Needs To Be Replaced, In Many Cases It Must Be Exactly The Same Product. This Is Partly Due To The Compatibility And Correct Functioning Of The Airport Lighting And This Ensures That Safe Take-Offs And Landings Of The Pilots At The Defense Airports Can Be Guaranteed. In Most Cases, If Not Exactly The Same Product Is Installed, This Poses A Risk To Safe Take-Offs And Landings. For Security Reasons, Defense Has Therefore Partly Technically Specified Its Needs In This Tender. Where Possible, Defense Has Specified Functionally. Defense Has Divided Its Needs Into 3 Lots (See Section 1.2), So That Both Producer(S) And Wholesaler(S)/Distributor(S) Of Airport Lighting Can Register In A Relevant Lot. Per Plot, The Assignment Concerns: - Delivery Of The Airport Lighting Products In The Scope Of The Relevant Plot By The Contractor To The Client At The Clients Location(S) In The Netherlands; - Where Necessary, The Contractor Advises The Client On The Correct Delivery Of Airport Lighting Products In The Scope Of The Relevant Plot. This Requires, Among Other Things, The Contractor: O Knowing And Mastering The Product Structure And Item Codes; O Be Able To Identify The Correct Components Based On Part Number Or Configuration; O Recognize Changes, Subsequent Types And Replacement Parts; O Know Which Parts Are And Are Not Interchangeable; O Have Access To The Right Supply Chain. Outside Scope: - Supply Of Field Signs For Airports; - Installation And Electrical Work On Airport Lighting Products.
