Work Detail
1. The Subject Of The Construction Project Is The Modernization Of The Shoulders Of Municipal Roads, Which Will Allow Their Surface To Be Adapted To The Requirements Allowing The Use Of Vehicles When Performing Evasive Maneuvers, Especially With The Road Cross-Section - Single-Lane, Two-Way, When It Is Not Possible To Perform It With A Reduced Road Width. The Purpose Of Modernizing The Roadsides Is To Increase The Safety Of Road Users. 2. Existing Condition: Based On The Review Of The Existing Technical Condition Of Municipal Roads, Large Defects And Depressions In The Ground Roadsides, Partially Reinforced With Aggregate, Were Found. This Condition Poses A Threat To The Safety Of Road Users. On A Large Scale, This Applies To Single-Lane, Two-Way Roads Where, Due To Restrictions In Land Development, The Existing Road Width Has Been Narrowed And The Shoulders Are Used For Vehicles To Avoid/Avoid Each Other.3.Design Status: The Project Assumes The Reconstruction Of The Roadsides In A Way That Will Enable The Road Body To Be Adapted To The Terrain Conditions. The Project Assumes Strengthening The Roadsides To Achieve Maximum Permanent Load-Bearing Capacity. Due To This, Technological Solutions Have Been Planned, Consisting In Strengthening The Roadsides Using Geosynthetics And Stabilizing The Structure With Aggregate. The Adopted Design Parameters With The Given Values Are Adapted To The Existing Width And Course Of The Road And To The Existing Terrain Conditions. 4. Scope Of Works: The Project Envisages Modernization Of Municipal Roadsides Using Two Separate Technologies Constituting Two Separate Tasks. Task 1: Technology For Strengthening Municipal Roadsides Using Geosynthetics. Designed Roadside Surface Structure: The Roadside Structure Consists Of: 1) A Cutting Layer Separating The Native Soil From The Supporting Layer Of Non-Woven Geotextile With A Strength Of 16-25 Kn/M, 2) A Supporting Layer Of Cellular Geogrid With A Height Of 20 Cm With A Cell Size Of 200X240 Mm, Anchored In The Ground, Filled With A 25 Cm Thick Aggregate Mixture Until The Indicator Is Reached. Is ≥ 0.98. The Scope Of Works For The Construction Of The Roadside In This Technology Includes: - Construction Of A Bed (Earthworks) Up To 25 Cm Deep With Profiling - Giving The Ground A Pre-Defined Transverse Slope - 6%÷8% And Compaction, - Laying A Cut-Off Layer Of Geotextile On The Profiled Ground, - Installation Of A Cellular Geogrid With A Height Of 20 Cm, - Making A Backfill Layer Of The Cellular Geogrid With A Mixture Of Aggregate With A Grain Size Of Greater Than 0/50 Mm, 20 Cm Thick, With Compaction Until Is ≥ 0.98. - Laying A Top Layer Of Aggregate Up To 5 Cm Thick With A Grain Size Of No More Than 0/50 Mm - Profiling Slopes Outside The Roadside. Task 2: Strengthening The Roadsides Of Municipal Roads With Aggregate - Removing Etching From The Roadside Surfaces - Loosening The Existing Roadside Aggregate Surface, - Supplementing The Roadside Surfaces With A 0/31.5 Mm Layer
