Tenders Are Invited For Water Quality Attack Plan - Accelerate Wfd Tasking For Municipal Overflows In General

As A Supervisory Authority, The Province Of Limburg Has The Responsibility To Account To The Government For The Progress In The Implementation Of The Water Framework Directive (Krw) Imposed By The European Union. Part Of This Wfd Task Is To Take Measures To Remediate Municipal Sewer Overflows Into Surface Water, In Accordance With Applicable Guidelines And Based On Ecological Assessment Of The Surface Water In Question. In View Of The Lagging Implementation Of, Among Other Things, The Municipal Wfd Tasking - Due To Various Causes - The Province Of Limburg Has Established A Water Quality Attack Plan With The Aim Of Accelerating The Realization Of This Task. Within This Attack Plan, Project Support Is Offered To Municipalities To Promote And Accelerate The Implementation Of The Municipal Wfd Measures. Since The Province Of Limburg Cannot Provide This Project Support Itself, External Expert Parties Must Be Deployed For This. With This European Tender Procedure, The Province Of Limburg Aims To Select One Expert Contractor Per Plot On Behalf Of The Participating Municipalities To Provide Project Support To The Municipality To Which The Plot In Question Relates. After Completion Of The Tender Procedure, Each Participating Municipality Concludes A Framework Agreement For Its Own Plot With The Contractor(S) Selected For That Plot.
