Work Detail
Construction Work – Conversion And Extension Of Soe C Building. Among The Goals Defined In Aks Comprehensive Campus Development Master Plan Is The Creation Of A Vibrant Campus Area By Developing The Existing Building Stock, Optimizing And Transforming The Use Of Land In Order To Create A Modern, Environmentally Conscious Green University. Reorganization, The Building Of Channels That Create Internal Synergies, And The Creation Of A New Rational Real Estate Structure Are Essential Aspects Of The Paradigm Shift That Will Shape Aks Future And Increase Its Role And Reputation In Scientific And Economic Life. The Present Investment, With The Transformation, Expansion And Comprehensive Reconstruction Of The C Building (As A Basic Task), Aims At The Placement Of The Labs And Offices Of The Universitys Organizational Unit In A Modern, Optimized Use Of Floor Space. The Conversion Of The Existing Building Is Determined By The Space Requirements Set Out In Aks Planning Program, As Well As The Existing Properties. Instead Of The Unfavorable Roof Structure, Unused Attic Space And The Too Deep, Rigid Central Corridor System Of The Lower Levels, A Comprehensive Rethinking Of The Interior Spaces Is Realized. By Opening Up The Walls Of The Central Corridors, Spacious Transverse Openings Are Created, And In Place Of The Attic, A Modern, Wooden Floor Superstructure Is Created. Architecturally, The New Level Appears As A Contemporary Addition To The Large Main Cornice Of The Neoclassical Mass. The Marked Overhang Of The Eaves Simultaneously Defines The Character Of The Building And Provides A Passive Shading Function. Arrangement Of Functional Levels • Basement: Research Laboratories Are Located. Uninterrupted Operation Of The Laboratories Must Be Ensured During The Transformation Works; For This, The New And Temporary Entrances On The Facade Provide Direct Access And An Independent Delivery Route. • Ground Floor: A Zone Of Research Laboratory Spaces With Modern Technology, Which Fit Well With The Existing Structural Features. • First Floor: A Series Of Student Teaching Spaces, Teaching Laboratories, And Open, Informal Learning And Social Spaces. • Second Floor (New Floor Extension): The Office Strip Along The Perimeter, Which Is Rich In Natural Light And Can Be Divided Freely, Surrounds The Community Spaces, Meeting Rooms And The Tea Kitchen Located In The Core. Structural And Construction Technology Solutions • Support Structures: The Existing Masonry In Good Condition Will Be Preserved, Openings And Wallings Will Be Made With Solid Bricks Adjusted To Size. The Existing Wooden Slab Serves As An Internal Formwork Under The New Monolithic Reinforced Concrete Load-Bearing Slab. The New Level Is Entirely Built With Modern Clt (Glued-Laminated Timber) And Laminated Timber Support Structures. The Elevator Shaft And The Main Entrance Zone Will Be Realized As A New Reinforced Concrete Structure. • Facade Protection And Surface Preparation: The Walls Of The Building In Contact With The Ground Are Given A Waterproofing Barrier Against Rising Moisture With Subsequent Wall Insulation Injection. A Breathable, Drying And Heat-Insulating Plaster System Is Made On The Water-Logged Wall Parts With Silicate Paint, With A Ventilated Artificial Stone Covering On The Plinth. The Member
