Expression of Interest for Development and Assembly of a New Motion Control System for One of the Neutron Diffractometers at the High Flux Reactor In order to replace obsolete equipment, JRC-Petten intends to procure a new motion control system for its neutron diffractometer HB4 at the High Flux Reactor Petten. This project comprises the motor controllers and power amplifiers, if separated from the former, the motors themselves (14 or 15), the cabling, a switch box where the electronics are installed or equivalent mechanical adapters for the motor axes if needed, configuration of the controllers and a simple software facilitating demonstration of the functions and acceptance testing. The motion control system shall be delivered in a turnkey state, such that only connection to electric power and to the instrument computer is needed to operate.
