Notice Of Intent (Noi)Direct Award Noi – 26-82-Flt Fleet Gps System Supplyseptember 1, 2026Notice Notice Is Hereby Given By The City Of Vernon Thereafter Referred To As “The City” Of Their Intent To Award A Service Contract To Advantage Asset Tracking (The “Contractor”), To Provide Fleet Gps System And Camera Monitoring For A Period Of Up To Three (3) Years With The Option For A Further (3) Three Year Extension. The Contract Value Will Not Exceed $55,000.00 (Excluding Gst) Annually. The Proposed Contract Will Commence October 1, 2026.“The City” Did Not Call For Contractor Proposals At This Juncture For The Following Reasons:“The City” Acknowledges That This Contractor Has Detailed Experience With The Gps System Parameters, Network Details And Specific Fleet Vehicle Requirements That Directly Enhances This Service.The Contractor Has A History Of Providing Quality Product, Service And Monitoring At Competitive Rates. The Manufacturer Of The Gps Units Promotes Monitoring Services For Customers To Be Provided By The Distributor Who Sold And Installed The Devices.The Contractor Has A Large Number Of Fully Functional Gps Units Already Installed In Customer Vehicles Of “The City”. This Equipment Along With The Labor Cost To Install Are Bought And Paid For. The Cost Of Switching At This Time Is Not Efficient Or Economical For “The City”.In Accordance With Bc Bill M217 The City Has Recently Purchased And Installed Road And Driver Facing Cameras From This Contractor All Of Which Are Bought And Paid For.Objections Contractors Wishing To Object To This Decision Should Submit In Writing (By Email To [email protected]) The Reasons For Their Objection To The Contact Person Listed Below, On Or Before The Closing Date.
