Quotation are invited for Replace Western-Rooipump 11kv Cable. 1. Preliminaries & Generals sum 1 2. MV joining ea. 4 3. Pole termination ea. 2 4. Road crossing/ pipe jacking sum 15m 5. Water crossing- galv. Steel pipe sum 10m 6. Water crossing pipe supporters sum 1 7. Testing and commissioning sum 1 8. 12Kv Insulation resistance test before sum 1 9. 12Kv Insulation resistance test after ea. 1 10.Connect MV cable ea. 2 11.Bush clearing(TLB) sum 1 12.Trenching(1.8m deep) sum 800m The service provider is required to: 1. Do pipe jacking across route P166 route. 2. Open a trench of about 800 meters along P166 route through the sleeve where the cable will be laid. 3. Put a steel pipe (galvanised) across the river where the cable to cross. 4. Insert and lay the new piece of cable across the road through the sleeve. 5. Make about four joints and two terminations to be made on the cable. 6. Do insulation tests before and after each and every joint and terminations is completed before ,before dressing the cable joint or termination and continuing with other joints or terminations and pressure test the entire cable after work completion then produce results via hard copy to project manager. 7. No open trenches must left after work is completed and the area must be neat. N.B: Should any of the joints fail in less than 12 months after work completion; the service provider will be asked to repair at their own cost.
