Bc Parks Is Inviting Proposals For Prescribed Wildfire Risk Reduction Treatment Green Lake Park Sunset View (11.2 Ha). A Degree Of Treatment Has Previously Been Completed (Approximately 5 Ha ). This Contract Requires Completing Treatment To Full Prescription Specifications Over The Entire Project Area. This May Include Reworking Areas That Were Previously Treated.The Objective Of The Treatment Is To Reduce Wildfire Risk To Local Community And Park Values.The Estimated Budget For The Project Is $65,000.Note: Proposals Exceeding The Estimated Budget For The Project Will Not Be Excluded From Consideration.The Services Required Include But Are Not Limited To: Danger Tree Assessment (Parks And Recreation Module) And Required Danger Tree Falling Or Modifications, Understorey Tree Thinning, Pruning, Surface Fuel Reduction, Treatment Debris Disposal By Pile Burning, Chipping/Removal Or Other Proposed Methods. The Project Area Is Within A Medium Smoke Sensitivity Zones And Is In Close Proximity To Private Properties.The Anticipated Term Of This Contract Is October 5 - March 31, 2027, With Treatment Activities Expected To Take Place Between October 19 – March 31, 2027. If Machine Use Is Proposed, Treatments Must Occur On Frozen Ground Where Necessary To Maintain Soil Disturbance Targets And Other Prescribed Treatment Impact Targets Or Specifications. The Term Of This Contract Is Subject To Change With Respect To Weather Conditions And Unforeseen Circumstances. The Contract Term May Be Extended Subject To Funding And Satisfactory Performance Of The Contractor, As Determined By The Ministry Representative.All Pile Burning And/Or Debris Disposal Must Be Completed By The End Date Of The Contract Term, Subject To Obscr, Wildfire Actand Wildfire Regulation Hazard Abatement Requirements.
