Disposal + Recycling Zurich (Erz) Would Like To Create A New, Interactive Education Center With A Focus On The Topics Of Circular Economy And Water Protection At The Hagenholz Location. The Educational Center (Working Title) Is Intended To Show And Make It Possible To Experience What Erz Achieves For The City Of Zurich As A Whole And In Particular In The Areas Of The Environment, Circular Economy And Water Protection. The Focus Should Be On Providing Visitors With Practical Knowledge And Encouraging Behavioral Changes In The Areas Of Waste / Circular Economy And Water Protection. The Rough Concept Envisages An Interactive, Modern And Modularly Adaptable Education Center. One Part Of The Education Center (Ground Floor) Should Be Designed As A City Walk. It Shows Erzs Diverse Services For A Livable Zurich And Imparts Knowledge About Circular Economy, Rainwater Management And Water Protection. The Second Part (Upper Floor) Guides Visitors Through An Exemplary Apartment In Zurich And Shows What Scope Of Action The Visitors Themselves Have To Contribute To A Liveable Zurich. This Ensures The Transfer Of Knowledge About The Reality Of Life Of The Visitors And Thus Also Promotes A Potential Change In Behavior In Everyday Life. The Concept Is Modular; Stations On The City Walk And In The Apartment Can Be Adapted Or Replaced If Necessary. Information About Current Erz Projects Can Be Updated Quickly And Easily. The Stations Are Self-Explanatory And No Guidance Is Required. Virtual People (“Companions”) Accompany Visitors Through The Exhibition. The Exhibition Will Be Implemented In Existing Premises At The Hagenholz Location. The Current Furnishings, Certain Walls And Floor Structures, Adjustments To The Entrance And New Railings Will Be Required To Be Dismantled So That The Rooms Are Available In The Form Required For The Interior Design Of The Exhibition. This Dismantling Is Not Part Of This Submission, But Will Be Planned And Carried Out By An Architectural Firm Commissioned By Erz, Which Will Also Obtain The Building Permit.
