Request For Proposalsthe City Is Seeking Proposals From Experienced And Qualified Contractors For The Rental Of A Weather-Proof Structure For The City’S Temporary Ice Rink.Backgroundthe City Of Surrey Operates A Temporary Real-Ice Rink In Surrey Civic Plaza (12450 104 Avenue Surrey, Bc) From November To The End Of February. This Approximately 4000 Square Foot Rink And 4000 Square Foot Public Space Requires A Large Structure. See Schedule A-1 For A Diagram Showing The Plaza, Covered Area And Rink.Project Scope And Effortthe Contractor Shall Provide Everything Needed To Meet All The Requirements Of The Agreement Including, Without Limitation All Labour, Materials, Tools And Equipment, Transportation, And On-Site Supervision To Perform And Provide The Services.Services Shall Include But Not Be Limited To The Supply, Delivery, Anchoring, Installation, Set Up And Removal Of A Structure And Other Associated Equipment.Weather Proof Structure Requisitesproviding Coverage To Approximately 1250 Square Meters Of Space• 625 Square Meters Of Ice Rink Operational Space That Includes A 16.5M X 25M Ice Rinko No Vertical Pillars Are Possible In The Ice Rink Area.• 625 Square Meters Of Programmable Event And Public Space• Can Be Accommodated Through One Structure Or Multiple Structures.• Preference Is For A Large Portion Of Sides To Allow For Views In And Out Of Structure.• Ballast Must Be Used, No Staking Or Affixing To Ground Is Possible.Must Meet All Safety, Permitting And Engineering Requirements Of Local Bylaws And Bc Building Code.The City Would Prefer Bids Under $250,000, But May Nevertheless Consider Larger Contracts Having Regard For All Of The Evaluation Criteria.Preference Is For One Large Structure That Fits Into An Approximate 30 Metres By 50 Metres Area Footprint, But Different Configurations That Meet The Preferred Budget Amount And Achieve The Same Coverage Will Be Considered.Addendaif The City Determines That An Amendment Is Required To This Rfp, The City Representative Will Issue A Written Addendum By Posting It On The Bc Bid Website At Www.Bcbid.Gov.Bc.Ca And The City Website At Www.Surrey.Ca (Collectively, The “Websites”), And Upon Posting, Any Addenda Will Form Part Of This Rfp.
