Expression of Interest for Rehabilitation/Construction Works of the Basement of the Benedictine Sisters Monastery of Our Lady of Calvary on the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, to Transform it into a Green Event Space. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is currently implementing the Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in the Palestinian Territories. As part of PSDP, the Green Growth Palestine (GGP) component is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), in collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of National Economy, and is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and BMZ. As part of this project, GIZ intends to award a contract for the rehabilitation/construction works of the basement of the Benedictine Sisters Monastery of Our Lady of Calvary on the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, to transform it into a Green Event Space. The works include the rehabilitation and upgrading of the existing basement, including demolition and finishing works, limited structural works, waterproofing, carpentry and tiling, as well as the installation of electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation and other mechanical systems. The intervention will focus on minimal structural interference and sustainable rehabilitation, including reversible construction methods, energy-efficient windows and doors, LED lighting with smart controls, and an energy-efficient VRF heat pump system.
