Work Detail
Tenders are invited for Event Planning and Execution for ACE Partner Municipalities | Ace: G-011735-001. Closing Date: Sunday, 30. Aug 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Agriculture Remuneration range: > 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 01.09.2026-30.09.2026 Project Brief Description The ACE project Strengthening the resilience of smallholder farms, micro and small enterprises, and local communities aims to strengthen economic stabilization and improve social stability through targeted measures to promote cooperation and exchange in three areas of action: Agriculture, Enterprises and Community Support. The project is implemented in municipalities located in West Bekaa, Upper Shouf, South Baalback and Hasbaya through a diverse set of modalities, including Grant Agreements, local contributions, service contracts with local and international partners, and direct self-implementation by the project team. Construction and infrastructure initiatives are also integrated across the three areas of action to reinforce the projects objectives. Context This assignment consists of two complementary work packages. Work Package 1 covers the implementation of three community activities in the partner municipality Mansoura in West Bekaa. Work Package 2 covers community closing events in additional partner municipalities. Work Package 1: Mansoura community activities In Mansoura municipality in the Bekaa, the municipal working group identified a community initiative designed to strengthen social cohesion and include community members who have fewer opportunities to participate in public life, with a specific focus on children from vulnerable households and older persons. The initiative consists of the following three activities: Mansoura Ecotourism and Community Festival: a cultural and community festival celebrating Mansouras local identity and supporting small businesses, local producers and women-led initiatives. The festival will include traditional music, childrens activities, and food and handicraft stands. Women and youth will take active roles in its organisation. Childrens Art Workshops and Exhibition: up to ten interactive guided art sessions providing children with a safe space for creativity, emotional expression and social interaction, followed by a public exhibition for families and community members. Elderly Home Community Event: a social activity with the local elderly home, including personal-care services, a communal dinner, entertainment, intergenerational exchange and the handover of in-kind support items already procured by the project. Work Package 2: Community closing events Following approximately two years of participatory planning and implementation, the ACE project intends to organise community closing events in up to 13 partner municipalities across the five project areas. The final number will depend on numerous factors such as municipal availability and the implementation schedule and will be agreed in close consultation with the ACE project and the concerned municipalities. The events will bring residents, working-group members, municipal representatives and other community actors together to reflect on the participatory process, the initiatives implemented, the resources procured and the experience of collaboration. The project will prepare the substantive content and facilitate the reflection sessions. The contractor will translate the agreed concept into an appropriate event setup and provide the required logistical and event-management support. Each community closing event is expected to be a light, community-oriented half-day event. For planning purposes, bidders shall use a reference event of around up to 100 participants. The actual requirements will be determined for each municipality following a joint assessment of the venue, available municipal equipment and any contributions the municipality wishes to make.
