Aug 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Conflict Resolution, Peace & Security Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 7 months The Permanent Peace Movement (PPM) is currently implementing a project on women-led mediation in five Palestinian Refugee Camps in partnership with UN Women. The project aims to increase ability of the Women and men in Palestinian Refugee camps in Lebanon to take peace and humanitarian actions that provide relief and that ensure non-recurrence of violence in their communities. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under the overall supervision of the PPM Representative and in close collaboration with UN Women the Consultant will provide consultancy for 46 days on the following tasks: Conduct 20 days capacity-building trainings Conduct 2 days training community awareness and sensitization sessions on protection principles, prevention and response to gender-based violence (GBV), and womens access to safe referral mechanisms 1 day to develop policy briefs/white papers and feminist recommendations based on community consultations on two WPS subject matters. Provide 5 days training tailored, group and/or individual, mentoring and coaching sessions and ensure accompaniment to women leaders by peace experts to lead and facilitate peacebuilding initiatives and actions and contribute to peace discussions in their community and with policy makers. Provide 5 days Training of Trainers (ToT) to members of the women groups on the Code of Conduct on the use of SALW. 1 day to develop and disseminate a gender-sensitive procedural guide 5 days training to carry out qualitative and participatory data collection 2 days training to organize a closed-door policy dialogue and advocacy event Facilitate 5 days training follow-up dissemination sessions through existing peacebuilding and dialogue platforms Essential requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent related to social work, economic, business or other relevant fields. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience working with NGOs. 5 years of proven work experience in peace building and WPS. 5 years of experience in writing progress reports and evaluating the outcomes of the process Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate. Excellent oral and written communication in Arabic and English.
