Tenders are invited for WASH Engineer Consultant - Design Review at the Union of Zahle Municipalities. Duty Station: Based remotely with availability for any potential meeting at UNDP office Duration: 2 months (total of 10 working days) Vacancy Date of Issue: 18 August 2026 Vacancy Closure Date: 25 August 2026 National or International consultancy: National consultancy SCOPE OF WORK: UNDP is seeking the services of a short-term consultant to deliver the below design review tasks of the detailed design and tender documents submitted by the engineering design company, including but not limited to: The tender drawing for all WASH-related trades (irrigation, rainwater networks, sewage/wastewater networks, drainage channels...), including any required detail. All required specifications related to WASH items (from Division 1 to Division 16). The general/specific condition of contract in line with UNDP contracts. Priced BOQs related to the project, including the general requirement. Estimated prices are within the market price range for similar works. The calculation notes needed for any design requirement related to any trades. System design and sizing. Drawings and their consistency with BoQ and specifications. Any specific report needed to complete the design drawings. Tender package and completeness, including unpriced and locked BoQs. When found necessary, the consultant will be requested to conduct a site visit for site assessment, for design purposes. The Consultant must take into consideration his transportation fees to any EXPECTED OUTPUTS AND DELIVERABLES DURATION OF WORK The total duration for this consultancy is 2 months (with a total of 10 working days). The assignment is expected to commence upon contract signature. DUTY STATION The WASH Engineer Consultant will be based remotely, with availability for any potential meeting at the UNDP office. STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or other closely related field. Experience: At least 8 years of experience in design and supervision of WASH projects. Language: Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic. The Personnel will be covered with Health insurance and Personal accident insurance; the fees shall be deducted from personnels monthly payment.
