Bids Are Invited For Landfill Operation Services: Greater Vernon Landfill And Lumby Landfill

The Regional District Of North Okanagan (Rdno) Oversees The Operation Of Two (2) Landfills Where Municipal Solid Waste (Msw) Is Landfilled And Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified Contractors To Provide A Full Range Of Landfill Operation Services (The “Services’) At The Greater Vernon Landfill (Gvl) And The Lumby Landfill (Ll).The Scope Of Work At Each Of The Landfills Includes Core Operation Services And, Where Requested By The Rdno, Optional Operation Services Associated With Landfill Operations. Core Operation Services Generally Include The Hauling, Placing, Compacting And Covering Of Municipal Solid Waste; Management Of Material Stockpiles Such As Wood Waste, Yard And Garden Waste, Scrap Metal, Concrete, Asphalt, Drywall, Refrigeration Appliances, Mattresses, Tires, And Propane Tanks; Maintenance Of Roads, Ditches, And Tipping Areas; And Assisting Facility Customers As Required. Optional Operation Services Are Additional Services That The Successful Contractor May Choose To Provide Either Directly Or Through A Subcontractor Of Their Choosing And Is Described Separately In This Rfp.
