The Acquisition Contributes To The Priority Social Development Across Borders And To Specific Objective 2.2 Of The Interreg Vi-A Next Program Romania–Republic Of Moldova: Ensuring Equal Access To Medical Services And Strengthening The Resilience Of Health Systems. The Contract Contributes Directly To Activity 1.2 Medical Waste Neutralization Equipment And To Deliverables D.1.2.2 And D.1.2.4 Assumed By Partner 2. The Acquisition Of The System Will Contribute To Increasing The Resilience And Preparedness Of Health Systems In The Face Of Future Cross-Border Epidemic Threats, By Introducing Safe And Sustainable Solutions For The Management And Neutralization, Within The Hospital, Of Hazardous Medical Waste. The System Will Consist Of Two Independent And Functionally Equivalent Technological Lines, Capable Of Operating Autonomously, Alternatively Or Simultaneously. The Redundant Configuration Aims At Operational Continuity, Biological Risk Reduction And The Treatment Of Infectious And Sharps Waste In An Integrated, Controlled And Traceable Flow The Anticipated Benefits Following The Completion Of The Acquisition Are The Following:  Reduced Dependence On External Services For The Management Of Hazardous Medical Waste;  Increasing Operational Continuity Through The Redundancy Of The Two Lines;  Reducing The Risks Of Contamination Associated With Storage And Transport;  Reducing The Volume Of Waste And Turning It Into A Neutralized Residue;  Efficient Use Of Energy And Water And Limitation Of Operating Costs, By Complying With The Technical Requirements And Consumption Parameters Declared For The Equipment Provided;  Traceability Of Treatment Cycles And Improvement Of Staff And Patient Safety.
