Under a GAC-funded project, OXFAM aims to raise the voice and role of crisis-affected population, including through support to community-based protection and women groups. The project engages and works with 6 womens groups from the refugee community on PSS sessions initiatives as part of the community-based approach. OXFAM in Lebanon is seeking PSS expert/consultant to provide 18 PSS sessions directly for 6 Syrian womens groups, each group will take 3 sessions in informal tented settlements (ITSs) from the refugee community in the north Bekaa. The consultant is expected to prepare PSS sessions curriculum that should be validated by Oxfam Team. The objective of the sessions is to enhance refugee womens capacity for resilience and recovery to address issues such as anxiety about the future, stress management, social isolation, anger, and awareness activities on positive coping mechanisms, positive parenting and life skills. Lebanons overlapping crises, economic collapse, governance fragility, protracted displacement, and war-related shocks, have heightened protection risks across population groups (Lebanese host communities, refugees, migrants, and IDPs). Shrinking protection space and rising coercion, deprivation, and exploitation necessitate a structured, evidence-based analysis to inform advocacy and programming. Oxfam has conducted consultations with community members to validate the findings of the women groups and identify the priorities of the communities to define the conditions in which their rights can be restored and preserved. As part of their community initiative, womens groups aim to strengthen solidarity within their community and provide guidance and support to community members experiencing mental health challenges. The community-based psycho-social training should provide them with a basic understanding of the most prevalent mental health challenges (such stress management related to displacement, Social isolation, anger, and awareness activities on positive coping mechanisms, positive parenting and life skills). SPECIFICATION OF SERVICES REQUIRED The PSS Consultant will: 1-Generate PSS content session for 3 topics and seek for validation from Oxfam Protection Team. 2- Coordinate with Oxfam protection team for planning purposes: location, date, time, group compositions, access, safety measures 3- Deliver 18 sessions to 6 women groups in Deir Al ahmar, Housh Barada, Housh Tal safiyyi, Btedei on 3 topics (such stress management related to displacement, Social isolation, anger, and awareness activities on positive coping mechanisms, positive parenting and life skills). 4- Measure improvement through baseline, end line. 5- Generate report (First report, Validation session and Final report) METHODOLOGY The sessions will take place inside safe spaces in tents, in informal tented settlements. Oxfam will provide transportation to training locations from Bekaa to the informal settlements with Oxfam protection team. Each training session can last up to 3 hours. In total, each group, composed of 10 to 15 women, aged 18 and above. These project tasks should be led by an individual with: Bachelors degree in psychology. Experience in Psychosocial Support programming and community mobilisation. Experience working directly in training, facilitation and Capacity building in MHPSS. Knowledge on IASC guidelines on MHPSS in Emergency is desired. Experience in GBV programming is a plus. Strong capacity in data management and statistics and compliance with data protection laws Strong experience in designing and facilitating trainings. Excellent knowledge of power and gender dynamics in the targeted refugees community. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills. Able to work under pressure. Excellent communications skills in English and Arabic, including advanced English writing skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and ability to establish good and effective relationships with refugee community members.
